Linkin Park Nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2026 Grammys – Their First in 23 Years
For the first time in over two decades, Linkin Park has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Rock Album. The band’s 2025 release, From Zero, has earned them a spot among the nominees for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards (2026) — marking their first recognition in this category since Hybrid Theory in 2002.
Their Last “Best Rock Album” Nomination: Hybrid Theory (2002)
The last time Linkin Park was up for Best Rock Album was at the 44th Grammy Awards in 2002, when their debut record Hybrid Theory became a global phenomenon. That same year, they were also nominated for Best New Artist, and won Best Hard Rock Performance for their breakout single Crawling.
Hybrid Theory went on to define a generation — fusing rock, rap, and electronic sounds into an emotional and aggressive mix that helped reshape early-2000s rock.
Their 2025 Comeback: From Zero
Now, 23 years later, Linkin Park is back in the same category with From Zero, their first studio album in years. The album also scored a second nomination for Best Rock Performance with the single The Emptiness Machine.
The record has been praised by critics and fans alike for its modern yet nostalgic tone — balancing the raw emotion and energy of their early work with a new sense of introspection. The album’s title, From Zero, reflects a rebirth for the band following years of creative silence and recovery after the tragic passing of vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017.
