Speaking about taking the lead vocals for this track, the message was clear:
“I consider Chester one of the best singers of our time. I mean, that’s not just being in the band with the guy. I would challenge anybody to sing the stuff that he sings to cover the song and make it sound anything like him. You can’t do it, you know? And there are other singers that are like that, and I think he’s on that level. For him to listen to something that I sang and say, ‘yours is better’, that was crazy for me.”
